How is Blepharoplasty Performed? |
|
By removing puffy bags and correcting droopy eyelids, a blepharoplasty can provide a rejuvenated look. It may even help with visual obstruction. During an eyelid lift,
Dr. Karlin will make a tiny incision along the natural lines of your eyelids and remove excess fat, skin, and muscle. The skin is then tightened to give a smooth appearance, and then closed with fine sutures. Scars are nearly invisible as they blend into the natural lines around your eyes. Only minimal discomfort is typically associated with a blepharoplasty. After your procedure, some swelling and bruising is expected, but typically most of it will diminish within one week. As each patient is different, Dr. Karlin will perform a procedure tailored for you to achieve the desired results. |
