Liposuction is usually the treatment of choice to remove the excess fat.  If removal of excess breast tissue is needed, it is excised during the procedure. 

Swelling and bruising are normal and will subside over the next few weeks. Patients will need to wear a pressure garment as their breasts heal. Scarring is usually minimal and will fade with time. Direct sun exposure should be avoided for six months.
